Samsung Galaxy C8 Latest Price and Specifications

Product Description

The Galaxy C series is Samsung’s midrange phablets offered at relatively affordable prices. Think of them as the evolution of the Grand series in a more premium way. With that being said, Samsung has released the Galaxy C8, which many thought to be the C7 2017 at first. Depending on the version you want, the C8 will set you back either Rs. 34,000 or Rs. 40,000.

If iPhone 6s was a bit wide

Donning a unibody metal exterior, the Galaxy C8 is super sleek especially since it’s only 7.9mm thin. Its appealing design can be accredited to the iPhone 6s, considering the Rose Gold color of the C8 strikes an uncanny resemblance to the Rose Gold iPhone 6s.

The front of the C8 sports a big 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED screen taking up most of the front. Despite not being an 18:9 aspect ratio screen, the screen to body ratio is not half bad at 73.3%. Above the screen is the selfie camera with a dedicated LED flash to make all your selfies perfect for your social media accounts. Below the screen is the home button which also doubles as a fingerprint scanner. On the back is where the dual camera setup is found, lying flush with the body so your phone doesn’t tilt when placed on a flat surface.

Good to see an AMOLED in a sea of LCDs

Props to Samsung for giving all their phones in the lower midrange to flagship status AMOLED screens. AMOLED screens are better than traditional LCD ones due to their deeper blacks and more appealing saturated colors. AMOLED screens also have better viewing angles. The one on the Galaxy C8 is a 5.5-inch 1080p one which means pixel density is a crisp 401ppi.

Samsung midrangers finally get a Dual Camera setup

That’s right, alongside the J7 Plus 2017, the Galaxy C8 is the first Samsung midrange device to have a dual camera setup. Let’s get into the nitty-gritty details. The main setup comprises of two sensors, one being a 13MP sensor with f/1.7 aperture and the other is a 5MP one with f/1.9 aperture. Unfortunately, there’s no 4k video recording instead 1080p is the max.

The front camera is a 16MP one with an aperture of f/1.9 and a dedicated LED flash. Now you can add more people to the frame and illuminate your pics in darker situations.

Nothing but standard 2017 midrange hardware here

2017 midranges have seen a lot of similarity in terms of hardware. Each model is packing the same amount of RAM/internal storage and processor. In the case of the Galaxy C8, there’s a MediaTek MT6757 octa-core chipset with each core running at 2.3GHz.The C8 comes in 2 versions, one with 4GB of RAM, and one with 3GB, which are more than sufficient to run Android 7.1 Nougat without any lag, but real life experience obviously depends on your usage. So to be safe, you should get the 4GB one.

Another reason to get the 4GB RAM model is the extra 32gigs of storage you get compared to the 3GB version. That’s right, the 4GB model gets 64Gb of storage whereas the 3GB one gets only 32. No worries, both support microSD cards up to 256GB. The battery under the metal body is limited at 3000mAh.

Galaxy C8 pros:

Plenty of RAM and storage should cater to many users
Beautiful AMOLED screen
Dual cameras for excellent photo results
Galaxy C8 cons:

Could’ve used a Snapdragon processor
Relatively small battery

Top 5 Photo Editing Softwares 2017

Top 5 Photo Editing Softwares 2017

Adobe Photoshop

There is no doubt that Adobe Photoshop is, without a doubt, the best photo editing software on the market. But unless you've experienced formal training, Photoshop proves a program difficult to master, and it's expensive to use. Today I will introduce several free photo editing software.

GIMP

GIMP is a fully loaded image editing software. Whether it's basic editing or advanced functionality, GIMP can handle everything. It has a customizable interface, and functions are divided into several modules that can be displayed/hidden individually displayed/hidden as needed.

Paint.NET

The simplicity of Paint.NET is one of its main features; It leaves you a fast, easy to operate free photo editor that is perfect for those little tasks that do not need the absolute power of GIMP.

PhotoScape

PhotoScape might look like a simple free photo editor, but take a look at its main menu and you will find a lot of features: unformat conversion, photo-splitting, and merging, creating animated GIF, and even quite a strange feature with which You can print lined, graphic or sheet paper.

FastStone Image Viewer

FastStone Image Viewer can handle completely from basic editing to semi-advanced operations. Not only that, FastStone Image Viewer also comes with image management functions such as tags, and drag and drop drag and drop support. You can create slideshows with more than 150 transition effects and even acquire images from scanners.

Fotor

Fotor is a photo enhancer in the first place, more than a photo editor; If there is a specific area of retouching that you need to do with, for example, the clone brush or the healing tool, you are out of luck. But it includes a stack of high-end filters that really shine.
